Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
ABM visual ("we", "us", and "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we handle. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). "You" and "your" means anyone who visits this website, contacts us, or engages our services.
1. Who we are
ABM visual is an independent spatial data and 3D digital twin studio based in Adelaide, South Australia, operated by Michael Petros. You can reach us any time at michael@abmvisual.com.
2. The information we collect
We keep the information we collect to a minimum. It falls into three groups.
Information you give us directly. When you contact us through the website, by email, or by phone, we receive your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about your enquiry.
Tour and website analytics. When people view our website or the 3D tours, virtual walk-throughs, and digital experiences we produce, the platforms hosting that content record standard, aggregated analytics: page views, visits, unique visitors, general location by country and region, device and browser type, referring source, and time on page. This data is statistical and is not used by us to identify individual viewers.
Client lead and enquiry data. Where we build or host a client's 3D experience, that experience may include an enquiry or lead form. As the studio that builds and maintains the experience, we have technical access to the leads and analytics generated within it. We treat that data as belonging to the client and handle it under the commitments in this policy.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your enquiries, to quote and deliver our services, to build, maintain, and improve the digital experiences we produce, and to understand how those experiences perform so we can give every client the best possible service. We reserve the right to review and use tour and experience analytics for that purpose, to improve the work we deliver to you and to our clients generally.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use client data for any purpose beyond operating, improving, and promoting the work we have produced.
4. Our anonymity commitment and use of enquiry data
Because we work across many venues and their audiences, we hold to one rule whenever we refer to, share, or publish analytics or enquiry information: a named venue and a named enquirer are never linked together. One of the two always stays anonymous.
When we showcase an enquiry that came through one of our experiences, we may name the enquiring organisation and describe the nature of their enquiry, for example that an organisation used a lead or contact form to ask about an 80-person event. We do not name the individual person behind that enquiry, we do not publish their personal contact details, and we do not identify the specific venue the enquiry came through.
When we refer to a particular venue's analytics or performance, we may name that venue, but we do not attach to it the identities of the people or organisations who enquired through it.
In short, we never link a named venue to a named enquirer. No one can learn from us which enquiries a particular venue received, or which venue a particular enquiry came through. Where we name an enquiring organisation to show the scale of interest our work generates, we keep the description of the enquiry general, and we never publish an individual's name or personal contact details.
Where we use this information to promote our work, we do so in line with the promotional rights a client grants us when they engage our services.
5. Third-party platforms and services
We build and deliver our work using third-party platforms and tools, which may include, but are not limited to, Matterport, Captur3d, Google (including Google Maps and Street View), our website host, and analytics providers. These platforms collect, store, and process data under their own privacy policies and terms, over which we have no control. When you view a hosted tour or use an embedded service, that platform's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects. We encourage you to review the policies of the platforms relevant to you. We are not responsible for the independent practices of these third parties.
6. Overseas storage
Some of the third-party platforms we use store and process data on servers located outside Australia. By using our website and the experiences we host, you acknowledge that data handled by those platforms may be stored overseas and is subject to the laws of the country in which it is held.
7. Cookies
Our website and the platforms hosting our experiences may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and gather the aggregated analytics described above. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended if you do.
8. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information in our care from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Where data is held within third-party platforms, it is protected by those platforms' own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that we correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing michael@abmvisual.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some information held within third-party platforms may need to be actioned through that platform.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at michael@abmvisual.com and we will work with you to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this website, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
12. Contact
